The Nigeria Monthly magazine played host to the Bangladesh High Commissioner to Nigeria, Md. Shameem Ahsan, ndc at the Radio House Complex in Garki District of Abuja last months. The Managing Editor of the magazine, Mr. Charles Ojugbana, who welcomed the High Commissioner on behalf of the team, described the High Commissioner’s visit as a welcomed development for the magazine. He said the availability of the magazine in eight International Languages and the 3 major Nigerian languages is geared toward attracting International readership.
Mr. Ojugbana maintained that the magazine is also aimed at showcasing the best potential from Africa and most especially Nigeria. He stated that the visit by the Bangladesh High Commissioner is the second in a row from the diplomatic community in Nigeria. He concluded by expressing the appreciation of the management and staff of the magazine for the visit. The Bangladesh High Commissioner to Nigeria, Md. Shameem Ahsan, appreciated the effort of the Nigeria Monthly team for the regular receipt of the magazine by his oﬃce and commended the impressive quality and articles of the magazine.
He opined that the relationship the magazine has established will provide a robust opportunity for collaboration between the Bangladesh High Commission and the Nigeria people. Md. Shameem Ahsan who is on his first ambassadorial appointment revealed that Bangladesh and Nigeria shares basic similarities. He concluded by informing the gathering of the economic, technological and agricultural potential of his country. The visit was rounded oﬀ with group photograph and exchange of souvenirs.
