In the past few year’s, Nigeria and China has made deliberate I efforts to deepen their cultural ties for the common benefits of their people. In furtherance oft tis partnership, Nigeria’s delegation participated at the recently concluded Global People to People and Cultural Tourism which was held in Beijing. The occasion provided an opportunity for the invitation of Chinese tourists and investors to explore Nigeria’s rich cultural and tourist endowments. This invitation was extended by Nigeria’s leader of delegation to the conference and Director – General of the National Council of Arts and Culture (NCAC), Otunba Olusegun Runsewe.

In his speech at the Global People to People and Cultural Tourism panel discussion, Otunba Runsewe admonished delegates to disregard isolated negative perception about Nigeria and discover for themselves the beauty, tranquility and enormous cultural, tourist and economic potentials, of Africa’s most populated nation.

Otunba Runsewe assured Chinese tourists and investors of the uncommon hospitality and great business opportunities that can be latched upon in the promotion of a more beneficial business and cultural relationship between Nigeria and China.
